With a heavy duty motor it will not die on you. It is a great all around mixer if you only have enough room for one machine. This is the miniature version of my old Hobart 80 qt. mixer that I had in my bakery. It can do anything good. You will see the KitchenAid advertised the most, mostly because they are in fashion, with a myriad of colors. While I like them, I feel they are the all around mixer, not great at everything but can do most anything. Plus they look cool on your counter. If you are planning to get a KitchenAid I would go for the Pro model as the others tend to burn out with serious use.
